One of the easiest ways to become involved in CTG Inc is to try out for one of our shows. Our auditions are open to everyone, whether it's your first time or whether you're a veteran at treading the boards.

How do I find out when your auditions are on?
There are several ways you can find out when our auditions are held:

• By regularly checking here on our website
• By watching for notices in the local (Macarthur) media

Please note: We do not send out individual notices to advise of when auditions are on. We also do not advise who is suitable for what shows - to find out you should speak to the Director of the production using the phone numbers or email provided on the audition notice.

How do I prepare for an audition?
Auditions can be a nerve wracking experience, even more so if you are not prepared. When auditions are called for a CTG Inc show, the Director will always outline what he/she would like all prospective actors to do.

You might be asked to read a few lines from the script, or you may need to prepare and sing a song. You might be asked to participate in a dance routine, or demonstrate some other skill. Details of what you have to do are always published here on the website, and you can always check with the show's Director.

It's also always a good idea to attend the orientation session for each production. At the orientation, you'll get to know the type of actors the Director is looking for, you'll get to see the script, hear the show's music, and have the opportunity to ask questions.

What else do I need to know?
Above all else, you need to have fun. Whether the auditions are open (turn up on the day and audition in front of everyone else trying out) or closed (make an appointment and audition in front of the Director and his/her assistants), it's all part of the enjoyment and challenge of performing for others.
